Homemade Almond Milk

I recently ran out of almond milk so I decided to try to make my own. After several different attempts, I finally succeeded. My husband like the vanilla flavor but I like the plain. I made one of each to compromise lol! It's super easy and tastes amazing.  1 cup raw almonds 4 cups filtered water 1 tsp pure vanilla extract Place 1 cup of raw almonds in a bowl and  soak in water for 24 hours. I drain the water.  After 24 hours drain and add 4 cups of fresh water and blend in a blender for 1-2 minutes until blended thoroughly. Strain the nut milk through cheesecloth, s tir in the vanilla extract and violá! You're welcome!!!

Mugcake Recipes

There are a lot of recipes out there so I decided to post my top choices. I have also included my new Cinnamon Roll icing that is out of this world!  1. The Cupcake Mug Cake 1 scoop vanilla protein  3 tablespoons of pasturized liquid egg whites 1/8 tsp baking powder dash (and I mean a dash) of sea salt 1 packet stevia (optional) Mix all ingredients in a bowl until batter like consistency. Spray mug with non-stick spray or coat with coconut oil and pour in batter into mug. Microwave for 1 minute to a minute and a half. Top with icing topping below. Icing/Glaze Topping  ( makes a lot so I save it)  2½ cups powdered Erythritol 6 tbsp warm vanilla almond milk                                    ...

We all want to eat more and lose weight, right?  I am right there with you. At some point during my transformation, I developed a bad relationship with food. Not in the way you may think. I wasn't eating poorly or turning to junk food, I was afraid of carbs, afraid of calories and petrified of gaining body fat. I heard this was pretty common after bodybuilding competitions but what I didn't realize is that a bunch of you out there had the same issues. In talking to men and women alike, at the gym, at work, in general, they were constantly talking about lowering or raising carbs, eating a more vegetarian, vegan, low-carb, high-fat, etc.   What they weren't taking into account is calories in vs. calories out. Now, not all calories are created equal and I will talk about that more later. Your body needs a certain amount of calories to make your organs function and because of that your body burns a certain amount of calories at rest.  Now, you need to consume at least this am...
